In this role you'll
* Lead a high-performing team through a partnering model with Infrastructure Projects & Engineering and NSW Motorways divisions, developing and implementing Safety Management Plans across major design and construct projects that exceed compliance standards.
* Provide expert advice on contract safety management and Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) matters to senior stakeholders and project teams, while facilitating safety training and capability building across project activities on behalf of NSW State Government.
* Build collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders across government, contractors, and communities, championing a customer-first approach that delivers safer outcomes for projects and the people of NSW.
* Optimise safety processes, documentation, and governance systems throughout project lifecycles, ensuring robust compliance and best-practice standards from design through to delivery.
* Travel regularly to construction sites across NSW, being visible and influential in shaping the safety culture on projects that will define the state for generations.

About You
You bring deep expertise in safety management with strong knowledge of WH&S legislation, due diligence and regulatory requirements. Your tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience include demonstrated success in major infrastructure project delivery, particularly design and construct phases, with proven contract safety management capabilities.
As a leader, you've guided teams through change while uplifting culture and engagement. You build high-performing, collaborative teams and take a stakeholder-focused, customer-first approach that delivers results. Your willingness to be visible across construction sites statewide, combined with strategic thinking and excellent communication skills, will drive safety excellence in this dynamic partnering role.
