Offer description

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdictions own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly.

**About the Role**

The 2017/18 State Budget provided significant investment in the Victorian courts and tribunals to deliver a modern, technology enabled, citizen focused courts service. This included funding for a project to procure and implement a new configurable Courts case management system (CMS) for the MCV and ChCV. Currently, management of court cases is supported by existing case management systems, however, several of the Courts IT systems are nearly 30 years old, and many elements are unsupported. As a result, the current case management systems do not provide a robust, reliable or flexible foundation for the contemporary work of the Courts. The successful implementation of a new CMS is a fundamental aspect of a solid, but flexible, foundation to reduce risk and support the Courts in delivery of their critical functions. A new CMS for MCV and ChCV has been deemed a priority by the Victorian Government due to the growing number of cases in these jurisdictions, as well as the need to better support family violence cases managed through the ChCV, and a need to modernize systems to support changing community and court needs. The CMS Project team has undertaken an exhaustive procurement process to identify the most suitable product and supplier to provide a 'Configurable Courts Case Management Solution'. The project is now in its Implementation Phase to deliver the CMS solution to MCV and ChCV. The Implementation Phase of the project commenced mid-2019 and will be developed and delivered by a dedicated blended team from the chosen supplier, and the project, comprising both external experienced project development expertise and internal Courts and CSV Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The development will be a hybrid of agile and waterfall methodologies due to the many and varied participants in the process, as well as consideration of how the core product is architected and configured.

Offered on a fixed-term full-time basis until 30 June 2025 and reporting to the Test Manager, the Test Analyst will play a key role in the quality assurance and delivery of the new Courts' CMS solution. Working collaboratively with both the vendor (JTI), the CMS delivery team and MCV across all test phases of the project, the role will require a high level of autonomy to define testing scenarios, conditions, data identifying and retesting of the defects as required.

Key accountabilities include:

- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Developing detail test conditions, scenarios, scripts for integration, end to end and other test phases
- Collaborating with other test analysts, business analysts, SMEs and stakeholders as required to ensure testing requirements and scenarios are validated
- Defining and standardisation of testing phases as per the program and test delivery documents
- Working across progression and regression test phases
- Developing test planning activities i.e. scenarios and user cases as per best practise
- Raising, allocation and retesting of defects
- Working collaboratively as team player to achieve quality assurance within timelines of the release

**About You**
- Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Courts and Tribunals
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of legislation, practices, policies, and procedures applicable to Victorian Courts and Tribunals would be an advantage.
- CourtLink knowledge and knowledge of the CMS is an advantage.
- 5-7 years testing experience would be an advantage.
