Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for an Industry Sustainability Officer based in St Kilda, VIC. The Industry Sustainability Officer will support the development and implementation of initiatives that improve sustainability practices across the PVC industry. Daily responsibilities include coordinating environmental programs, engaging with members and industry leaders, providing training and guidance, monitoring compliance with sustainability benchmarks, and preparing reports and communications. The role also involves fostering collaboration with stakeholders to promote best practices and deliver insights that contribute to the circular economy.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience in sustainability initiatives, environmental management, or circular economy principles.
Proven skills in program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with both industry representatives and policymakers.
Proficient communication skills, including report writing, presentations, and drafting industry-related publications.
Experience in policy development, project management, and compliance monitoring within the environmental or manufacturing sectors.
Ability to analyze and interpret industry data to inform sustainability initiatives and strategies.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
Familiarity with the PVC industry or related fields will be an advantage.
