The Security Services Team at the Bowen Hospital is seeking applications for a Healthcare Security Officer to join their team on a Permanent basis.
Responsibilities
Security officers aim to provide a safe, consumer‐focused environment by maintaining a highly visible presence as a deterrent to inappropriate behaviour, aiding in the detection of unacceptable activities, protecting assets to minimise loss or damage to property, and embracing a proactive risk identification and mitigation philosophy. As a security officer based at Bowen, you will provide a safe environment for all who access the Bowen Hospital and improve the patient's experience as your daily focus. You will have the opportunity to interact with patients and assist the clinical team in positioning and supporting patients during treatment and care.
About the Team
The MHHS Security Services comprises a Security Officer Service, Occupational Violence Prevention Service, Care Support Officer Service and Access Administration Service. These services work supportively of each other, are committed to sustainable service delivery, adhere to the Health Service's core values and work in unison to achieve a common goal of protecting MHHS personnel, patients and visitors.
