Qualifications
* Registration with Queensland College of Teachers
* 3+ years' experience as a classroom teacher
* Proven ability to make significant adjustments for classroom learners, plan and implement modified learning programs
* Learning Support qualifications preferred but not essential
Are you an experienced Teacher who loves SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH LEARNING CHALLENGES and who is WANTING A NEW AND UNIQUE CHALLENGE
We are seeking a passionate and experienced primary school teacher preferably with Learning Enrichment experience across Years 2-5 who can promote, support and implement best practice and learning enrichment adjustments for primary school age students with a range of learning needs, across a busy learning environment.
Instrumental to the role will be the ability to work in partnerships across departments, teams, students and families to support the development of personalised learning profiles, individual adjustments and planning. This role is unique with a 2-year learning cycle e.g. Year 4-5 with a group of 10 students.
You will be experienced with attending to student wellbeing and engagement and committed to understanding and delivering 'The Silkwood Way' Learning program and supporting students to achieve our AIMS.
What You'll Do
Deliver a Learning Program: Deliver the Advisory Learning Program by managing and attending to the operative steps in the student and advisory planning cycles
Case Management: Providing case management of supported learners to enable them to access the Silkwood Way. Completing documentation for diagnosed students e.g., NCCD, IEP's etc. Confidence in conducting parent meetings is essential.
Plan and Resource a Learning Program: Complete lesson plans, organise resources, timetables and meetings needed to deliver TSW learning program by attending to the pre-emptive steps in the advisor and student planning cycles
Develop a Learning Culture: Implement TSW student culture and vision for student behaviour – with a focus on the use of restorative practices techniques.
Work in Partnership to Personalise, Progress and Enhance Student Learning: Partner with others to expand student opportunities, improve personalisation and progress of student learning.
Be an Operational Team Member: Work in partnership with your Team to progress your team mission
