Midwifery Sign-on Bonus
A Lump Sum sign-on bonus of up to $20,000* for 2nd year midwives and above moving from work in an NSW MM1 and MM2 location, or midwives moving from interstate. Commencement is required by the 30th September 2025.

Cooma Maternity Unit experiences approximately 140-150 births a year, with 2 birthing rooms and 3 postnatal rooms. There is a part time Clinical Midwifery Educator to support the team with ongoing education and professional development opportunities. What you'll be doing
Within the Framework of the Core Values of SNSW LHD, the Midwife will provide clinical care to women accessing the Continuity of Midwifery Care service. The Midwife will have practice knowledge to provide the full scope of midwifery care to women, and work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
In this role you will work in partnership with women throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. You will provide evidence-based practice and woman-centre care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. You will provide support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
1. Current registration with the with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
2. Demonstrated evidence of clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in midwifery care.
3. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to practice and influence others within a professional and ethical framework that reflects the values of the organisation.
4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within an overall team environment with commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others.
5. Demonstrated commitment to clinical research, quality improvement and procedure development and implementation.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate legislation that relates to the position.
7. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills as well as demonstrated computer literacy skills.
8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
