About the Role
As an AI Security Architect be part of the Architecture & Delivery (A&D;) team, driving secure architecture and end‑to‑end solution design. The focus is on Generative AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives where secure reference architectures and designs are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed security‑by‑design across AI models, data, APIs, and integrations to ensure systems are resilient, compliant, and scalable.
- Champion DevSecOps and strong application security practices in all projects.
- Create secure solution‑architecture artifacts for AI/ML initiatives, from design through to operations handover.
- Perform AI‑specific threat modelling (e.g. adversarial attacks, prompt injection, model/data leakage) and enforce secure patterns.
- Develop and maintain reusable AI security reference architectures and patterns, aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders, promoting adoption of secure AI / integration patterns.
- Maintain architecture documentation and relevant tools (e.g. LeanIX).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep experience in enterprise solution architecture with AI/ML systems and cloud‑native platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Proven experience in security architecture and integration patterns.
- Comfortable working in agile / DevSecOps contexts.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Knowledge
- Familiarity with GenAI security patterns (e.g. LLM baseline protections, SaaS GenAI integration).
- Understanding of regulatory / AI security frameworks (Australian Privacy Act, GDPR, NIST CSF, OWASP AI/LLM Top 10, and MITRE ATLAS) Practical DevSecOps+2MITRE ATLAS+2.
- Robust knowledge of integration styles like REST APIs, event‑driven architectures (Kafka, GraphQL, API Gateway).
- Application security tools / practices such as SAST, DAST, CI/CD.
