Brisbane Boys' College is an established GPS day and boarding school founded in 1902, dedicated to developing boys into worthy leaders and good citizens. Located just four kilometres from Brisbane's centre, we educate students from Prep to Year 12.

About the role:

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Team, this full-time fixed-term role supports the College with the development, production, and publication of effective, consistent, and professional content for print and digital communications. Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Manager, Social Media & Digital Content Creator, and Graphic Designer, the role is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication to reflect the brand's position as a professional, innovative, and progressive academic institution.

About you:

You are a professional communicator who works well in a small team and can also operate independently. You're comfortable managing multiple competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

* Post content provided by the Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to the College's social media channels and manage comments and users on Facebook Year Level Groups and WhatsApp Year Level pages.
* Provide administrative support for videography and photography shoots.
* Support the creation of major college publications, including a community magazine and a yearbook, liaising with multiple staff members to collate quotes and information.
* Draft, review, and publish parent communications and internal staff communications, including coordinating the fortnightly parent newsletter.
* Support the creation of a range of collateral required by different areas of the College, including Prospectuses, Co-curricular programs, Co-curricular and Curriculum Handbooks, and Annual Reports.
* Effectively interpret briefs from the Marketing and Communications team to deliver the required outcomes.
* Assist the Marketing and Communications team to build brand consistency, as well as adhere to existing brand guidelines.
* Assist the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement strategic campaigns for social media.
* Develop written content from concept through to completion.
* Liaise and collaborate with a variety of project stakeholders, including graphic designers, teachers, managers, and suppliers.
* Participate in weekly team meetings, provide progress reports, and share new ideas.
* General business and marketing administration, as required.
* Coordinate School photography, liaising with an external provider and internal staff members, and drafting communication for current families.
* Highly developed Information Technology Skills, including in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and editing in Adobe Acrobat
* A talent and passion for writing creative and crystal clear copy
* Strong attention to detail in proofreading, spelling, grammar, and syntax

* Hold a current blue card or be eligible to obtain a blue card for working with children
