Aegis Aged Care has several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands within our beautiful Banksia Facility.
Located in Calista, a suburb surrounded by natural bush land in the heart of Kwinana Hub community, Aegis Banksia Park provides quality care and services for up to 168 residents in a up-to-date and homely living setting.
About the role
As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
Responsibilities
* Preparing resident's meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
* Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
* Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
Preferred traits
* Enjoys working with the elderly.
* Can work independently and as part of a team.
* Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
* Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
* Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
* Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
* A knowledge of food safety.
* Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
