About the role
Adamson Earthmovers is seeking an experienced Pipe Crew Supervisor to join our team in East Arnhem, Northern Territory on a contract basis. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and supporting the successful delivery of our water and sewer scope. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires exceptional technical expertise and the ability to motivate and coordinate a team of skilled workers.
What you'll be doing
1. Supervise and coordinate the pipe installation crew, ensuring work is completed to high standards and within project timelines
2. Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or delays, escalating concerns to management as needed
3. Provide on-site guidance to crew members to ensure compliance with quality and safety of instillation
4. Liaise with project managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of the pipe installation work with the overall construction plan
5. Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and any incidents or accidents
6. Collaborate with the health and safety team to uphold strict safety standards and implement best practices on site
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a work crew supervisor or in a similar construction leadership role
2. Strong technical knowledge of pipe installation methods, materials, and equipment
3. Proven ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of construction workers
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges on site
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings
6. Commitment to upholding strict health and safety standards
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
