Ready to lead guests through one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landscapes?

The Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) is looking for passionate bushwalking guides to join our Northern Territory team for the 2026 season including our brand-new Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Walk, launching in April as well as our Larapinta team.

About the role:

TWC Guides provide an outstanding experience that guests will remember for a lifetime – the walks we offer are an opportunity for guests to step out of everyday life and into wilderness areas that are one of a kind.

This role suits someone who is adaptable, calm under pressure, curious about the natural world, and excited to work in remote environments.

As a TWC Guide, you will:

* Monitor and manage potential hazards facing your trip and have good knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
* Ensure all guests are prepared and well equipped for the trip
* Be responsible for reporting requirements including trip reports, hazard identification and incident reports
* Share engaging interpretation and provide knowledge about the natural areas
* Ensure guest safety is maintained
* Ensure the Camp and Lodges are kept clean
* Foster positive group dynamics and an enjoyable atmosphere

We're looking for Guides with:

* Relevant bush walking experience and a good knowledge of the National Parks the walk is situated in
* Demonstrable knowledge and ability to provide interpretation about the area, the flora, fauna, and history to guests.
* Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
* Hospitality experience including cooking, food preparation, and service
* Current Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00126)
* Current Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
* Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021)
* Use hygienic practices for food safety, or equivalent (SITXFSA005)
* Light Rigid Class Drivers Licence (for Larapinta);
* H Endorsement – Commercial Passenger Vehicle Accreditation (for Larapinta)
* For Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Guides: Completion of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Knowledge for Tour Guides (VTP489) course is required prior to commencement. Enrolment is provided at no cost.

If you do not have the above qualifications, you will need to be committed to attaining these should you be offered a Guiding position.
