Senior Nurse
About the Role
At our residential aged care home, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a Senior Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering person-centered care, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall well-being of our residents.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct clinical nursing care to residents, adhering to best practice nursing procedures. You will also act as a Team Leader, guiding and supervising the Personal Care team to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
* Clinical Nursing Skills: Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, focusing on their individual needs and preferences.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and coach the Personal Care team, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent care services.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will need to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Your ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks efficiently will be essential in managing a busy care environment.
Requirements
* Education: Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification.
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in a residential aged care setting, with a focus on clinical nursing and team leadership.
* Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, age-related health issues, coaching/training skills, conflict resolution skills, emotional intelligence, and effective communication.
