Rates: $120 - $135 per hour (inc. super)
The Department of Veterans' Affairs & the Repatriation Commission and the Military Rehabilitation and Co is seeking proactive and skilled Business Analysts to join dynamic project and program teams across the department. These roles play a critical part in shaping solutions, improving business processes, and supporting evidence‐based decision‐making.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
* Lead or contribute to requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
* Map and improve business processes, customer journeys and workflows
* Translate business needs into clear functional and non‐functional requirements
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and collaboration forums
* Analyse data, risks, and system impacts to support informed decision‐making
* Present insights and advice to project leadership and senior executives
* Contribute to strategy development, business cases, and implementation planning
* Work in fast‐paced contexts with competing priorities, compressed delivery schedules and heightened scrutiny
Essential Criteria
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Experience working under tight deadlines and high stakeholder interest, including engagement with SES leaders
* Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
* Confidence in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Experience with process modelling, requirements management, and BA toolsets
* A collaborative, outcomes focused approach
* Adaptability and resilience in fast changing environments
* Experience with frameworks such as BABOK, AGILE, HCD, user centred design, or Digital Service Standard (desirable but not essential)
