Female High Intensity Disability Support Worker 8 + hours per week Right at Home provides in-home disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to join our Northern Rivers team. You can enjoy a flexible and balanced work life and support people in your community to live their best life possible.The Disability Support Worker is responsible for implementing support services aimed at maximising the living, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs. All service delivery must be in line with the Policies and Procedures of Right at Home Care and the NDIS Framework .We offer an opportunity for empathetic Disability Support Workers to assist individuals in reaching their full potential. We currently have shifts available two days per week from 6.00am-10.00am with the view to more shifts becoming available. Full training provided.$33.50- $60.30 per hourKey Responsibilities:Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.PEG Feeding: Support and assist the client with PEG feedingManual handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.Behavioural Management: Handle clients with high behaviours, employing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and well-being, including the use of restrictive practicesProvide direct care assistance to each client in accordance with their service plan and as directed by the coordinator.Ensure completion of appropriate documentation.
