About the Position
The People and Talent Office is seeking a dynamic and experienced People Business Partner to join our high-performing team. This pivotal role will see you working closely with senior leaders across designated Faculties and Administrative Units to align HR strategies with the broader goals of the University.
As a trusted advisor, you will:
* Provide expert guidance on HR, employee relations, and industrial relations matters.
* Support initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.
* Drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery and practices.
* Champion and support organisational change and strategic workforce planning.
This position reports to the Deputy Director & Head of Partnering and plays an integral role in shaping a positive, future-focused workplace culture.
About the Person
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
* At least four years' experience in a similar role, ideally within higher education.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and enterprise agreements.
* Proven ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience in leading or mentoring a small team.

Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $101,752 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
