The Opportunity
We are in the process of expanding our engine & powertrain rebuild facilities to the west coast with a new purpose-built facility based in Kewdale.
In this permanent full time role, you will have a unique opportunity to be a part of this new venture helping us shape the west coast engines division.
Due to an exciting new project we are seeking Engine Rebuild Fitters ideally with Caterpillar C****** and **** series experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Disassemble and rebuild Engine and Powertrain components and associated products in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Component measure and inspection for its reusability and/or repair.
Manage all aspects of dyno testing and tuning of large mining engines.
Supply relevant information to enable the Branch Manager or Salesperson to provide a costing for the customer.
Ensure special processes are carried out to specification.
Undertake appropriate housekeeping duties to ensure the safe operation of the work area.
Ensure IMS compliance is met, and that all documentation conforms.
About You
Mechanical Trade – Heavy Diesel Fitting
Caterpillar C****** and **** engine rebuild experience, would be advantageous.
High Risk Work License
Four to eight years' experience in a similar role.
Experience in Diesel Engine rebuilds, repairs including diagnostic skills, is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Solid grasp of numbers and high degree of accuracy.
Exposure to Heavy Engineering / Mining Services / Construction Industry.
