Maintenance Officer / Tradesperson
Full Time | 38 hours per week (Monday–Friday, no weekends)

As a Maintenance Officer / Tradesperson, you’ll be a familiar and trusted presence for residents across Mirinjani Hostel and Eabrai Lodge, helping ensure their homes are comfortable, functional and cared for with pride.
About the role
Based primarily at:
Mirinjani Hostel & Eabrai Lodge – Namatjira Drive, Weston
With occasional support across nearby sites:
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day maintenance, repairs and general upkeep, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely for residents and staff.
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and minor works across residential aged care sites
* Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
* Ensuring buildings, grounds and equipment are safe, compliant and well-presented
* Supporting preventative maintenance programs
* Building strong, respectful relationships with residents, providing friendly and responsive service
* Working collaboratively with site teams to create a positive living environment
About you

You will bring:
* Trade qualifications or strong experience in general maintenance
* A proactive, can-do approach and ability to work independently
* A strong commitment to customer service excellence — you enjoy interacting with people and making their day better
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* The ability to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively
* A genuine respect for older people and the communities we serve
