About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Emergency Department team at Bowral & District Hospital. In this role, you will support and develop the clinical skills of nursing staff, coordinate education initiatives, and promote excellence in emergency care delivery. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You'll be Doing
Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Management, Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service and enhanced patient outcomes.
Where You'll Be Working Bowral & District Hospital, located in the picturesque Southern Highlands of NSW, offers a unique blend of rural charm and cosmopolitan amenities. As part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, it has strong connections to tertiary facilities at Campbelltown and Liverpool.
The hospital originally opened in 1889 and has undergone significant redevelopment, with the first stage completed in December 2020. This $123 million redevelopment includes a new Clinical Services Building with a modern emergency department, operating theatres, and inpatient wards. The ongoing second stage will further enhance outpatient services and include a new Aboriginal Dreaming Garden.

1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
2. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in critical care and/ or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education
3. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and a strong commitment to the ongoing enhancement of clinical practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
5. Demonstrated effective and high-level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
