Role

As Research Manager (Quant), you’ll be the cornerstone of an integrated strategic communications practice. You’ll lead quantitative research projects from start to finish—from proposal writing and methodology design through to data analysis and client reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Leading quantitative research projects as primary researcher and main client contact.
- Designing ad‑hoc quantitative studies including sampling plans and survey structure.
- Overseeing questionnaire development, online programming and fieldwork execution.
- Managing multiple projects across Australia and New Zealand locations.
- Turning complex datasets into clear, insight‑driven messages.
- Developing and executing client growth strategies for a $5M+ portfolio.
- Building and mentoring high‑performing client services teams (20‑30 consultants).
- Partnering with C‑suite executives to align insights with strategic objectives.
- Contributing to business development (without sales targets).
- Preparing tender documents, proposals and compelling presentations.

About You

You’re an experienced quantitative researcher with at least 5 years in the industry, ideally from a boutique agency or consultancy environment. You excel at conducting analysis and presenting compelling research results that drive action.

Essential Qualifications

- Robust proficiency across quantitative methodologies.
- High degree of numeracy with ability to analyse complex data and draw accurate conclusions.
- Excellent organisational capabilities managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated report writing skills with clear verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with complex sample design and fieldwork oversight.
- Tertiary qualification in social sciences, psychology or communications.
- Ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable reports.
- Experience conducting studies on sensitive or high‑impact national issues (advantageous).
- Comfortable discussing research with diverse stakeholders from senior researchers to clients.
