Duties Include:
Perform tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning, hedging, brush cutting, spraying and watering.
Mow lawns, trim edges, and care for turf areas.
Assess and repair garden irrigation.
Prepare soil, mulch, and plant beds.
Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols for a safe work environmen.
As a Horticulturalist with the Garden Folk, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our clients' outdoor spaces. Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate III in Horticulture or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in gardening and horticulture, with a minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience.
- A thorough knowledge of Plants, Pest Control and treatment of Diseases.
- Physical fitness and a capacity to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organisational skills to plan and coordinate tasks effectively.
- Excellent leadership and communications skills, with strong work ethic.
- Motivated, driven, have a passion for the trade, pay great attention to detail, and take pride in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing a range of hands-on gardening and horticultural tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and pest management.
- Overseeing garden maintenance schedules and ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Be able to troubleshoot and problem-solve, allowing our landscape management to run smoothly and efficiently.
