Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team at Apprise Consulting.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement and evaluate risk management policies and programs
* Conduct safety briefings for staff and safety inspections of workplaces
* Provide advice on work-related health and safety risks
* Report, investigate and help manage accidents
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation
* Oversee the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machinery
* Conduct training programs and induct staff into our WHS program

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reviewing the performance of workplace health and safety (WHS) programs across our operations in Central North Queensland.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based in regional Central North Queensland.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
