Roster: 7:7 rotating, Wednesdays to Tuesdays
Hours: Day Shift: 7am – 7pm
Role:
A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Site Electrician. Reporting to the Electrical and Fixed Plant Foreman, the Site Electrician's role is to provide Electrical support to the Mine's Processing Mill, and other surface areas as required.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintaining electrical operations of the site.
* Liaising with relevant parties to complete troubleshooting and undertake repairs and maintenance, in a safe and timely manner in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and Electrical Safety Regulations.
* Undertaking preventive maintenance, in accordance with prescribed schedules.
* Maintaining the electrical operation of the Process Plant infrastructure.
* Completing electrical statutory requirements in relevant areas of the surface infrastructure, specifically to latest versions of AS/NZS 3000 and Electrical Safety Regulations.
* Carry out planned preventative electrical maintenance across the Processing Plant
* Complete reactive breakdowns and repairs
* Execution of electrical installation work.
* Scoping and raising notification for all electrical issues
* Identify, Control, report and rectify Hazards
* HV operations, switching and maintenance
* Working with the Processing Manager and Mill Foreman regarding Process Plant operation.
* Assist in the Process Plant where required for SCADA/PLC issues.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a high regard for safety, effective communication skills and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision in a small team environment. You will have an A-Grade Electrical license and 5 years' experience in mining and/or heavy industrial minimum.
You will also possess:
* Excellent safety awareness and commitment.
* Demonstrated exposure to heavy industrial work.
* High Voltage Operator experience.
The Person
Essential
* Victorian Electrical "A" Grade License.
* Experience in reactive breakdowns and commissioning within fixed plant maintenance is essential.
* The ability to interpret PLC programs (Allen Bradley preferred) for the purpose of fault finding is essential.
* Current Vic Drivers licence
Preferred
* HV Operator Completed Course (Access Permit Recipient, Operator).
* Competent with Studio 5000, Factorytalk View, Factorytalk Linx, Ethernet and DeviceNet communication protocols and Instrumentation.
* Level 2 First Aid
