Nocean Recruitment are currently partnering with a well-established construction group to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to support their growing finance function. This is a key role within a complex, multi-entity environment and would suit someone who enjoys working in project-based construction accounting.
The Role Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate project and financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. You will work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations across multiple entities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
* Support project accounting including WIP, revenue recognition, cost tracking, and forecasting
* Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting processes
* Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close
* Work with large construction ERP systems (e.g. Jobpac) to extract, analyse, and report financial data
* Assist with audits, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements
* Partner with operational and project teams to provide financial insights and support
About You
* Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role within the construction industry
* Strong intercompany accounting experience in a multi-entity environment
* Hands-on experience with large construction ERP systems such as Jobpac (essential)
* Solid understanding of project-based accounting and revenue recognition
* CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Confident communicator able to work across finance and operational teams
