Reliability Management Specialist
The primary purpose of this role is to support the maintenance and reliability team's activities and identify continuous improvement initiatives across all sites. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery, utilising computerised maintenance management systems to schedule work orders and track maintenance activities, and collaborating with suppliers and maintenance teams to maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
As a Reliability Management Specialist, you will be responsible for analysing equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency, working closely with reliability engineers and maintenance technicians to implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and identifying opportunities for process optimisation and supporting the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Additionally, you will establish and monitor key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of maintenance, and collaborate with site leadership teams to align operational and maintenance excellence initiatives with strategic goals.
Requirements for this role include strong knowledge of maintenance management principles, including preventive maintenance strategies, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and condition-based maintenance (CBM). Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications is also required. Proven experience in implementing successful operational improvement programs in a 24/7 manufacturing environment is essential. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, and ability to support change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
In terms of qualifications, an electrical or mechanical trade or equivalent experience, preferably in a coordinating role, is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are highly desirable, as are additional qualifications in project management or operational excellence.
