Trainee Customer Relations Officer – West Daly Regional Council

GTNT Group is proud to partner with a Local Government Council to deliver an exciting traineeship opportunity for a motivated candidate ready to start their career in Local Government. We are currently seeking a Trainee Customer Relations Officer to join the team at West Daly Regional Council. As a Business Trainee, you’ll gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business (BSB30120) all whilst being paid. The Trainee Customer Relations Officer is responsible for delivering high‑quality administrative and customer service support with a strong focus on coordination, assistance and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operations in the Darwin and West Daly Region.

About West Daly Regional Council: The West Daly Regional Council covers 14,000 square kilometres and is located about 300 to 420 kilometres south‑west of Darwin. The area is mainly rural, with three indigenous communities at Peppimenarti, Nganmarriyanga and Wadeye which are managed by West Daly Regional Council.

- Current National Criminal History check
- Working with Children (OCHRE) card
- Driver’s licence – minimum P’s
- Ability to travel by 4WD and light aircraft and stay overnight when required
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

We are currently seeking a Records Management Trainee to join the team at Power Water in Darwin. As a Records Management Trainee you’ll gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Business (BSB40120) all whilst being paid.

About Power Water: Power Water is a government‑owned corporation that transmits and distributes electricity and provides water and sewerage services across the Northern Territory. Power Water serves a range of customers across residential, commercial, industrial and remote communities and works with the community to support a select range of events, organisations and programs.

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

- Have or be able to obtain a Police Check
- Have NT C class Drivers licence (P’s minimum)
- Sound proven skills in working with Spreadsheets, Word, and Power Point (Microsoft suite)

GTNT Group is proud to partner with a local plumbing business to deliver an exciting apprenticeship opportunity for a motivated candidate ready to start their career in the Plumbing industry. We are currently seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to join the team at Knights Plumbing. As a plumbing apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Plumbing (CPC32420) all whilst being paid. You’ll work alongside qualified tradespeople learning to install, repair and maintain water, gas and drainage systems across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

- Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance

Qualification Description: This is a trade qualification for plumbers in residential, industrial and commercial workplaces who are responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining water services, sanitary plumbing and drainage, gas, roofing and mechanical services in both existing and new constructions.

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

- 18 Years or older
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Willingness to learn Australian Government issued ID or birth certificate
- Ability to pass pre‑employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Driver’s Licence – Probation minimum

Key responsibilities include:

- Effectively undertake general groundwork and basic maintenance tasks
- Work effectively as part of a team, learning from team members and putting learnt skills into practice
