The Opportunity
We are looking for a results driven Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the strategic and financial objectives of the DuBois group.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is a fundamental part of the Finance Team and is a fantastic opportunity for a high-energy, attention to detail, Accounting professional. Duties include:
* Complete relevant Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations
* Responsible for the month end process and delivery of accurate month-end reporting and identifying any risk and opportunities
* Manage the year end tax and audit process
* Collecting and Analysing Data in preparation of weekly and monthly reports
* Ensure all company statutory obligations are met (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)
* Examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy
* Manage the company cashflow
* Assist all staff with financial related queries
* Manage and provide guidance and support to Assistant Accountants, Accounts Payable Officer, Credit Controller, Purchasing Officers and Receptionist
* Manage the Company Fixed Asset register and reporting requirements
* Manage the Company Insurance policies
* Manage the Company bank accounts
* Ad-hoc projects as and when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Experience and proven track record in successfully leading and mentoring an onsite team including the following AP, AR, Payroll, Assistant Accountant, Purchasing and Reception
* Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualified
* Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
* Strong analytical & investigative approach
* Experience in systems development
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Ability to set priorities, plan work schedules and meet deadlines
* Effectively manage the Business Services Team, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Advanced Excel skills
