Job Description:
The Regional Market Director plays a pivotal role in driving profitable growth and maintaining a competitive edge within their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop an in-depth understanding of all terminal operations and vendors, becoming the go-to-expert for all aspects of their assigned region.
* Partner with Operational and Commercial teams daily to ensure alignment with market strategies prior to implementation and that initiatives are being executed as intended.
* Conduct weekly meetings with maintenance & repair, logistics, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment on tasks required to achieve market objectives.
* Gain a detailed understanding of all financial drivers within the assigned market/region, interpreting financial results and communicating these results to all levels of the organization, developing initiatives to improve efficiencies, identify growth opportunities, and maximize profitability.
* Closely collaborate with the Finance team to develop and implement a robust, data-driven strategy for achieving profitable growth in the Marine segment.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Marine or intermodal industry is a plus.
* Proven track record of successfully implementing data-driven strategies.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Skills in guiding teams, decision-making, and communication at a senior management level.
