We currently have an opportunity for a skilled Product Quality Inspector to be based out our brand-new Milwaukee DC in Tullamarine. Reporting to the Engineering and Compliance Manager, your role is to physically inspect new products against supplied inspection reports ensuring products received into stock are of expected and required degree of quality. You will analyse products and contribute timely and effective feedback to relevant stakeholders of product compliance quality, ensuring that all discrepancies or issues are recorded and managed.
Only those with tool product knowledge will be considered for this role! The successful applicant must be proficient in understanding different power tools, hand tools and associated accessories. You will be able to work independently, have an analytical mindset to identify product specific outcomes, providing valuable feedback for improvements and efficiencies.
Key responsibilities
* Inspection of new products prior to goods being received into stock.
* Oversight of records management for the goods inwards inspection reports.
* Communicating with relevant Product Managers when discrepancies identified.
* Identify areas for improvement in review processes and actively participate in implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and quality for the inspection system.
* Action any onsite requirements or assessment direct by direct line manager and/or product marketing leadership team.
* Participate in quality meetings with product teams summarising findings and remedial action if required.
* Establish and maintain effective communication with partners and stakeholders.
About You
* Relevant experience in quality assurance, and process improvement.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to understand technical specifications and documentation. Noting specific discrepancies in product and/or documentation essential.
* Have used SAP and Appian.
* Awareness of Work Health and Safety within a warehouse environment – is an advantage.
* Collaborative team player with effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and support colleagues.
