About the Role As Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, administration, and support of MyState’s server and network infrastructure. You’ll work across a diverse technology stack, provide expert third-level support, and play a key role in projects, disaster recovery, and mentoring within the IT Operations team. You’ll also be part of the after-hours on-call roster, ensuring critical systems remain available and secure for our customers. Key Responsibilities Deliver third-level technical support for incidents and service requests across the Group. Administer and maintain servers, networks, VOIP, video conferencing, and hosted services. Manage asset lifecycles, including deployment, upgrades, auditing, and disposal. Lead infrastructure change, testing, disaster recovery, and threat management activities. Provide technical expertise in AIX, scripting, and automation. Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency, security, and cost. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes. Mentor other IT Operations team members to build technical capability. What You’ll Bring 10 years’ experience in systems engineering or infrastructure administration. IT degree or equivalent, with relevant technical certifications preferred. Expertise across server, network, and infrastructure services in complex environments. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, threat management, and disaster recovery. Proven ability to deliver secure, resilient, and customer-focused IT services.
