**Construction Manager - Greater Sydney**

**THE COMPANY**
Road and Rail Excavations Pty Ltd is a medium sized, Sydney based, ISO accredited, Civil Construction Company, committed to providing quality utility installation to a variety of clients across Greater Sydney and regional New South Wales.
The company is a Level 1 Accredited Service Provider and accredited Sydney Water provider and is currently authorised to perform works for state authorities such as Essential Energy, Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid and Sydney Water.
**THE POSITION**
The primary function of this role is to support the project teams and be a prominent source of advice and guidance to management. Communication is key in this role as you'll liaise with internal and external stakeholders with relevant regulatory bodies.
The position involves the below;
- Resourcing of all upcoming projects, both for personnel and plant requirements
- Assisting the project teams to deliver a successful project meeting all project deliverables to the highest of standards - guide the project team to ensure project success and client satisfaction
- Review RFQ's and company opportunities to assess their viability. From this assist the tender team in forming actions on RFQ's including review stages and eventual RFQ submissions
- Be part of the Senior Leadership team within the organisation, engage in the SLT weekly meetings and have input in all aspects of the organisations growth.
- Lead and mentor the site crews, mainly the site supervisors, to ensure compliance in all fields, project, health, safety, quality and environmental.
- Guiding the project team to implement the Project - Integrated Management System Plan on each of the projects.
- Managing compliance with WHS and Environmental Legislation, workplace injury management and workers compensation, Standards and Codes of Practice, Safe Work Method Statements and the Site Safety Rules;
- Be involved in incident reporting, ensuring all information is captured and assist in the development of the incident report all the way through to close out of incidents.
- Reporting on each project to senior management weekly
- Assist and lead in promoting a positive safety culture, you will support and initiate improvements regarding HSEQ and regulatory compliance processes.
**KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:
- Experienced Construction Manager with a minimum of 10 years prior experience within the utilities and civil sector.
- Be a leader and role model within the organisation
**QUALIFICATION**:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence.
- Citizenship or permanent resident visa holder
- Current driver's license
- Any qualifications in WHS and/or Construction Management would be preferable
**Salary**: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
