We are seeking a Senior Category Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
The Senior Category Specialist will be responsible for driving a strategic, value-focused approach to corporate procurement while supporting the uplift of processes, capability, and commercial outcomes.
* Champion a national, organisation-wide view of procurement.
* Analyse spend data and evaluate supplier arrangements.
* Lead sourcing activities and provider selection.
* Influence procurement planning and decision-making.
* Build trusted relationships across internal stakeholders.
* Support supplier relationship management.
* Identify and deliver quick commercial wins.
* Challenge and improve processes within a transforming function.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong category management experience, ideally spanning areas such as Corporate Services, Labour Hire, Professional & Consultancy Services (including Legal), PPE/Uniforms, or Non-Operational Materials.
* A strategic and commercially strong mindset.
* Demonstrated experience and skill in building strong, trusted, and influential relationships across business units resulting in positive outcomes.
* Comfortable working across national business groups.
* Experience in fleet categories is desirable but not essential.
* Able to thrive in an environment undergoing significant change.
* A creative thinker who can operate outside traditional procurement processes.
