About the roles:Full & Part-time: between three and five support days per weekImmediate start: Previous experience in a support role desirable but not essential 1+ years
The Support Worker will be responsible for providing daily assistance to clients in the Maitland, Newcastle and Central Coast areas, including community access, household tasks, and companionship. The role also includes supporting our clients in achieving their personal goals, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.We need reliable workers so we can ensure our participants receive consistent, ongoing support.
Desirable skills
Skills in household tasks and maintaining a clean and safe environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to promote independence and support clients in achieving their goalsDiligent shift notes linking back to goalsCompassionate and patient demeanourRelevant qualifications or certifications in disability support or a related fieldFirst aid training, NDIS checks and valid driver's license are non-negotiables
You’ll bring:Strong compassion and patience/empathy skillsExcellent punctuality and reliabilityExperience in support work, or similar for NDIS participants (disability or care sector preferred)A positive, can-do attitude and genuine care for people
