About the Team: Workday's APAC Financials team builds outstanding customer experiences by delivering engaging, innovative consulting services to help customers, partners, and employees maximize the Workday financial system.
About the Role: We are seeking a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative Financials Functional Consultant to join our team. In this role you will ensure successful implementation of the Workday Financials solution with customers through product and implementation expertise.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the customer's project team to design, configure, and deploy their functional requirements.
* Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite.
* Understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations via prototype systems, and assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
* Convert legacy data into Workday in collaboration with the client.
* Support the integration consulting team by configuring and testing integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions.
* Apply Workday’s Implementation Methodology on all engagements.
* Mentor new consultants.
* Ensure the client benefits from Workday best practices and becomes referenceable once in production.
* Maintain product expertise and Workday certifications, staying familiar with the Workday roadmap.
* Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status.
Basic Qualifications
* 6+ years implementing financial or expense management ERP solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Lawson) as a consultant or at a customer.
* Previous experience with a consulting or software company.
* Functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting.
* Strong customer service passion.
* Validated project management experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication; strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
* Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self‑training.
* Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously (a plus).
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Workday Financials expertise.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
* Capacity to acquire, hold, and maintain an Australian Government security clearance at the required level.
