The Education and Volunteer Manager role is a key member of the Public Programs team and is responsible for leading a small team of education professionals who develop and deliver informative, engaging curriculum related learning programs for Victorian students via on site visits, virtual learning and outreach. The position is also responsible for the coordination of the Shrine volunteer program.
What You Will Bring:
We are looking for a motivated individual who can make a positive impact on our team. Here's what we're looking for:
 * Empathy for, and understanding of, the objectives of the Shrine of Remembrance
 * Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Teaching or Museum Studies
 * Demonstrated ability to create and deliver innovative education programs
 * Experience managing, supporting and developing a team
 * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with all types of people
 * Demonstrated ability to stay calm under the pressure of competing priorities, self-motivation and the ability to operate with limited supervision
 * Awareness of current trends and best practices in museum education programs
 * Previous experience in successfully coordinating volunteers
 * Knowledge of Victorian Curriculum
 * Previous experience in the education field in an education or cultural organisation
