Job Title: Maternal and Child Health Nurse
About the Role:
The position is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based services to families with children from birth to 6 years of age.
The role involves delivering health promotion through education and information related to parenting, including breastfeeding, early learning, nutrition, and immunization.
MCH nurses will contribute to quality improvement and research projects within the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering home visiting, first parent groups, KAS assessments, and flexible service options
* Providing health promotion through evidence-based education and information
* Contributing to relevant quality improvement and research projects
Requirements:
We are looking for MCH nurses who have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues, welfare, and early years professionals.
You must have current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse and a registered midwife, and a recognised postgraduate Maternal and Child Health qualification for employment in Victoria.
A current Victorian driver's licence and Working with Children Check are also required.
