The After Hours Nurse Manager works closely with the Executive team to support the organisation business objectives and safe high quality patient care.
The position incumbent provides high level clinical leadership, models the values of Calvary and supports a positive and professional workplace culture.
Your main duties Manage unplanned staff leave Coordinate and manage patient flow after hours.
This involves planned and unplanned admissions.
liaise with VMO and external facilities.
Coordinate emergency responses after hours, as well as manage escalation of concerns and feedback by patients and their families About you Current AHPRA registration Post graduate experience in public and/or private health sector including clinical nursing practice Demonstrated experience at a management level of a department or facility level.
Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and accreditation standards Demonstrated understanding of contemporary clinical practice Proven experience in change management, facilitating a positive workplace culture and workforce engagement High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships Proven ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team with the ability to manage priorities and a busy workload.
