Water and Sewerage Treatment Team Leader Position
The Water and Sewerage Treatment Team Leader is a key role within our utility services team, responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and safety-focused professional to lead a team of operators, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality water and sewerage services to the community. The successful candidate will have a strong background in treatment plant operations and team leadership, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in confined spaces.
About the Role:
* Oversee the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and compliance of the region's water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations
* Lead a team of operators and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently
* Conduct water/wastewater testing and maintain detailed records
* Monitor SCADA systems and optimize chemical dosing
* Maintain assets in clean, operational condition
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with environmental licenses and water quality standards
* Assist in planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement
* Participate in after-hours on-call roster
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in treatment plant operations and team leadership
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and environmental compliance
* Strong communication skills and ability to use digital systems
* Ability to work in confined spaces/sewer environments and at heights
* Certificate III in Water/Wastewater Treatment (highly desirable)

* 76-hour fortnight with roster variations depending on the position
