Become a Road Safety Hero held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers, and local motorists. You'll also be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.
Responsibilities
* Supervise school crossings for 20 hours per fortnight.
* Work shifts between 8:00–9:00 AM and 2:30–3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
* Ensure safe passage for students, parents, teachers, and motorists.
* Communicate effectively with community members.
* Remain present in all weather conditions.
* Assist with obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check, reference checks, police check, and health assessment).
Benefits & Compensation
You will receive an hourly rate of $26.43 along with superannuation. Compensation will also be provided during school holidays from Terms 1 to 3.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum age 18 years at appointment.
* Reliable and prepared to show up for your community.
* Effective communication skills.
* Community minded and passionate about safety.
* Willingness to obtain and maintain required background checks.
Additional Information
Applicants must be able to work 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. All training, uniforms, and equipment will be provided.
