Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Liquor Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including customer service, stock handling, and maintaining store presentation. The ideal candidate will have robust attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service in line with company standards.
Handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
Receive, unpack, and work the load (deliveries).
Fill shelves and maintain backstock to ensure products are always available and well-presented.
Rotate stock to ensure freshness and compliance with store standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment.
Adhere to all liquor licensing laws and store policies.
Assist with any other general duties as required.
Requirements
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (mandatory).
Previous retail, customer service, or liquor industry experience (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.
Flexible with availability (including potential public holidays and busy trading periods).
Reliable and committed to working Tuesday – Saturday.
