$38 – $43 P/hr Incs Travel and Site Allowances
We are seeking Experienced Industrial Painters/ Steel Coaters for roaming site-based works.
Responsibilities
- Steel preparation and application of single part or two part paints, including primers, epoxies, top coats, tie coats and intumescent coatings.
- Performing WFT & DFT checks.
- Working to scheduling plans and targets.
- Understanding, operating & cleaning the spraying equipment you use.
- Stripe coating/ touch ups by hand with rollers and brushes.
- Use of industrial & domestic blasting equipment.
- Use of access EWPs.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of hands on painting/ coating experience.
- Good initiative and attitude when working in teams or alone.
- Problem solving skills when working with difficult steel members.
- Flexible to learn and assist with other structural offerings when there are few painting projects running.
- Must either be prepared to shave so a provided respirator can fit suitably and safely (moustache/ goatee is acceptable) OR provide and use a positive air fed respirator.
Desirable Candidate Competencies
- Holds a forklift ticket.
- Holds a construction industry white card.
- Any other construction industry tickets.
