About the opportunity
Mapei has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter (Afternoon Shift) to join the team based in Wacol.
About the role
Reporting to the Production & Maintenance Manager, you'll carry out all maintenance duties relating to the safe and efficient operation of the plant, and associated facilities.
About you
* Related training or training qualifications in metal trades, fitting, machining or engineering related discipline and/or
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably with FMCG type machinery
* Team leader or supervisory experience highly regarded
* Familiarity with industrial environments and the ability to safely operate plant and equipment including electrical, and pneumatically controlled machinery
* Ability to analyse and diagnose system/machine issues
* Experience with PLC controlled machines
* Experience with safe maintenance principles and practices
* Demonstrate ability in carrying out basic mechanical repairs i.e., drilling and tapping, mechanical alignment, oxy and acetylene operation, and parts replacement.
