Remuneration
Base salary: $149,059.00 per annum. Total remuneration package valued at $168,946.00, including leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
Position Information
Port Hacking High School serves 950 students, including 25 Aboriginal students and 30% from a non-English speaking background. The school offers a balanced education with a focus on academic achievement, sport, creative and performing arts, enrichment for high potential and gifted students, specialist literacy and numeracy support, a student leadership program and wellbeing initiatives.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Proven integrity and credibility in leading, supporting, and mentoring a diverse English faculty, fostering a cohesive high‐performing team.
* Demonstrated educational leadership skills to guide staff in developing quality teaching, learning and assessment practices focused on continual improvement.
* Expertise and commitment to leading High Potential and Gifted Education through differentiated teaching, enrichment opportunities and inclusive practices that maximise student achievement and growth.
* Established ability to cultivate positive relationships and active engagement within the school community, contributing as a committed and visible member of the executive team to promote and sustain a positive school culture.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with ability to lead and design quality inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills enabling relationships and engagement with students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. Applicants lacking this approval must commence the application process concurrently with this teaching opportunity.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, or be in the process of obtaining it. WWCC clearance number must be provided as part of the application.
