Position: Cook – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 + Superannuation
About the Role
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of menu items, ensuring every dish meets our high standards for taste and presentation.
You will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver quality meals in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes, including roasts, vegetables, sides, and sauces.
2. Ensure all food is cooked to the highest quality, meeting portion and presentation standards.
3. Assist in planning menus and daily specials.
4. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to reduce waste.
5. Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
6. Oversee food preparation to ensure timely service during busy periods.
7. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required.
8. Check freshness of ingredients and manage proper storage of food items.
Skills & Experience
1. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) preferred.
2. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
3. Strong understanding of food hygiene and WHS regulations.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
6. Passion for preparing high-quality, fresh meals.
