Senior Control Systems Engineer
• Perth-based, onsite Monday–Friday role (no FIFO)
• Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension (permanent considered)
• Project delivery and operational support within a large mining environment
• Focus on Citect (AVEVA) SCADA and Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
About the Role
Green Light Worldwide is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to support project-based delivery and operational control systems within a large, complex mining environment.
This role is Perth-based and primarily focused on control centre and project work, with only short, ad-hoc site visits as required. You will work closely with control systems, OT, reliability, and operations teams to support both live environments and project initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Deliver control systems engineering across projects and operational environments
• Design, configure, and support Citect (AVEVA) Plant SCADA systems
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
• Support control centre and IROC-style operational environments
• Participate in commissioning, upgrades, fault-finding, and optimisation activities
• Work within established engineering standards, change management, and safety frameworks
• Interface with project, operations, maintenance, and reliability stakeholders
Requirements
• Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechatronic, or a related discipline
• 5–10+ years' experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong hands-on experience with:
* Citect (AVEVA) Plant SCADA
* Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Proven experience supporting major mining asset projects
• Background across mining, plant, or rail operations
• Exposure to Operational Technology (OT), reliability, and maintenance support
• Comfortable working across both project delivery and live operational contexts
