About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilising Services Department in early 2026 at Calvary St Vincent's Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, high-quality sterilisation services that support patient care across the hospital.
What You'll Do
As a CSSD Technician, you will play a key role in:
Providing effective and safe decontamination, sterilisation, and preparation of medical instruments and equipmentEnsuring compliance with AS5369 standards and best practice guidelinesSupporting the workflow of the CSSD through teamwork, communication, and attention to detailContributing to continuous improvement and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety
What You Bring
To be successful, you will have:
Certificate III in Health – Sterilising Practice for Technicians (or equivalent)Minimum 1 year of experience in a CSSD environmentStrong understanding of AS5369 standards and sterilisation processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWell-developed planning, organisational, and analytical abilitiesStrong computer literacy skillsA commitment to ongoing learning, improvement, and Calvary's mission of compassionate careA customer-focused, team-oriented attitude
