The Role
Sanitarium is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Manager to join our Meals Manufacturing – Vegie Delights team in Berkeley Vale, Central Coast. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our meals manufacturing site, including all production machinery, buildings, grounds, and utilities. This position is ideal for someone currently in a Leading Hand role who is ready to take the next step in their career.
About the Role
As the Maintenance Reliability Manager, you will:
* Lead and coordinate the site maintenance and reliability team across shifts.
* Manage site-specific maintenance activities and oversee contractors and service contracts.
* Take responsibility for security management across the site.
* Coach and guide maintenance and production staff.
* Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis.
* Implement contingency plans and manage unexpected events.
* Ensure compliance with BRCGS Food Safety Standards.
What We're Looking For
* A qualified mechanical fitting background (mechanical trade qualification is essential).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance within food manufacturing.
* At least 2+ years of leadership experience leading a team.
* Strong knowledge of Australian standards for corrective and preventive maintenance.
* Experience with maintenance management systems; SAP or MEX is advantageous.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Adaptability, proactiveness, and a willingness to learn.
