Civil Engineer/Designer – Coffs Harbour, Northern Rivers or South East Queensland Office Locations
We currently have a Civil Engineer/Designer position available to assist with growing our design team and to work on our subdivision, development and council road infrastructure projects. The position is available in our Coffs Harbour, Northern Rivers or South East Queensland office locations.
Key responsibilities:
* Preparation of civil engineering and infrastructure road designs, specifications, models and supporting documentation.
* Providing designs that are fit for purpose, practical, cost-effective, comply with relevant design and regulatory standards, and comply with WHS and Quality Control requirements.
* Work closely with engineering team members to clarify design and/or documentation issues throughout the design, documentation and construction phases.
* Reviewing the work of draftspersons designs, information, drawings and documentation.
* Provide technical advice to management, staff and clients
About you:
* Certificate III in Drafting Trades, Diploma in Civil Engineering and/or University Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia, or equivalent.
* Good working knowledge and experience with 12d and/or Civil 3D design package.
* Good working knowledge and experience with DRAINS and MUSIC design packages
* Strong road and infrastructure design skills.
Communications & Marketing Coordinator – Norwest (Hybrid)
Barker Ryan Stewart (BRS) is seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to assist in developing and executing the marketing and communications strategy for BRS.
This role will work closely with the CEO and key stakeholders, and is responsible for delivering integrated marketing initiatives across digital, social, content and PR; managing campaigns end-to-end, and supporting client engagement through high-quality communications, case studies and brand storytelling. Creating and executing internal communications is also part of the role.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop, manage and implement the BRS marketing and communications strategy
* Be the brand ambassador for BRS, ensuring consistent use
* Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns with precision, energy and creativity
* Support the development of proposal documents for tenders
* Be the point of contact for sponsorship of events and programs
* Execute digital marketing, including website, email, social media and content development
* Develop and manage content across multiple platforms to build brand presence and authority
* Organise and lead regular marketing strategy meetings
* Liaise with designers, copywriters and external suppliers to deliver high-quality outputs
* Manage and coordinate the PR agency, including media opportunities and positioning
* Prepare high-quality case studies showcasing BRS projects and outcomes
* Attend client events, industry functions and networking opportunities as required
* Organise and manage the marketing events calendar, ensuring BRS is represented at industry events well
* Organise and lead the content for the staff conference annual day
* Stay up to date with industry trends, tools and best practices
* Ensure all marketing activities are documented and aligned with business objectives
About you:
* Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, PR or related discipline
* Minimum three years' experience in marketing and communications
* Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
* Solid experience across digital marketing, social media and content development
* Good internal and external stakeholder management
* Experience managing campaigns, budgets and external suppliers
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* High level of professionalism, initiative and creativity
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Passion for marketing excellence and brand building
