Support Positive Ageing * Lead Volunteers * Bring Community to the Table

Make a real impact in the lives of older community members by leading a warm, welcoming dining experience. This hands‑on role combines kitchen coordination, volunteer leadership and community connection - perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, people‑focused environment.

What You'll Do

* Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations for the Dining Program.
* Lead and roster a team of 4-5 volunteer cooks, kitchen hands and waiting staff.
* Develop menus with volunteers and manage all stock, ordering, food safety and equipment needs.
* Support catering for workshops, events and Positive Ageing programs across 2 locations
* Engage with older community members, ensuring everyone feels welcome and included.
* Uphold facility policies, safety standards and community‑focused practices.
* Champion a community development approach in partnership with the Coordinator.

What You Bring

* Certificate‑level qualification & experience in kitchen management or community sector experience with relevant training.
* Current registrations: RWVP, DoFoodSafety, Food Safety Supervisor Skill Set, and a Driver Licence.
* Experience running community or commercial kitchens, including menu planning, stock control and catering for large groups.
* Ability to support, mentor and coordinate volunteers in a dynamic environment.
* Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence using basic computer systems and managing kitchen administration.
* A flexible, organised and proactive approach in a fast‑paced service setting.
* Commitment to inclusive, respectful and positive ageing principles.
