The Salvation Army (TSA) will work as one team with a person centred, safe and coordinated approach to service delivery to ensure the best outcomes for all who seek our assistance.
Our Welfare Support Workers assists men and women who are homeless, or are at risk of homelessness, rendering various support which provides stable, secure, safe and transitional accommodation. A particular focus of this role issupporting the clinical services and associated functions that are offered to support our client group.
This is a permanent full time role located in Northbridge.
The role you could play
- Provide support consistent with Homelessness and The Salvation Army standards and protocols
- Coordinate timetables and appointment management of all on site clinical activities including, doctors, psychologists, dieticians, nursing and any other specialist clinics both on a regular basis and for any specialist clinics
- Liaise with the pharmacy to ensure appropriate and timely provision of medications and supporting items as ordered through the clinics
- Ensure facilities are booked, available and prepared to ensure all the clinical activities can function with mínimal delay or disruption
- Provide relief case management and support in the intake, assessment and 21 day case worker roles on an as needs basis
- Respect and develop professional relationships with all stakeholders including clients, employees and other related services/people, using appropriate terminology and creating a safe and comfortable environment
- Assist with service delivery in daily planning, advocacy, communication and transport as required by the service
What you will bring
- Certificate IV in Community Services
- Previous experience in Homelessness or Human Services sector
- Previous experience in Medical Support and or Medical Administrational would be highly regarded but not esential
- Current First Aid Certificate (with current CPR.)
- Current WA Drivers licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
