JOB TITLE: Night Audit Supervisor/Relief Night Manager THE SCOPEAs Night Auditor you will assist with the night operations of the hotel and be responsible for creating a warm and personalised welcome experience for our guests overnight. This role will also step up to cover days off for the Night Manager - overseeing night operations, ensuring the general safety and security of guests, staff and the property is maintained at all times. THE TEAMYou oversee the overnight performance of the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments in the absence of Head of Departments. Responsible for effectively oversee the performance of the hotel. You report to the Rooms Division Manager and collaborate with all departments, including but not limited to: Management, Housekeeping, Laundry, Sales & Marketing, Reservations, Telephonists, Maintenance and all Food & Beverage; to execute stunning service to your guests. THE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAs Night Auditor you will assist with the night operations of the hotel and be responsible for creating a warm and personalised welcome experience for our guests overnight. This role will also require you to step up to cover days off for the Night Manager - overseeing night operations, ensuring the general safety and security of guests, staff and the property is maintained at all times. Your typical duties will include but won't be limited to: Welcoming our late arrival guests and farewelling our early departures Maximising the guest experience as well as the safety and security of the property Attending to guests requests efficiently and effectively in order to ensure total customer satisfaction Managing daily reconciliation of hotel outlets and completing daily revenue postings Responsible for management and audit of physical keys. This includes the tracking of keys that are issued to employees or contractors, as well as the retrieval of keys when they are no longer needed. The goal is to ensure that all keys are accounted for and that access to the associated areas is properly controlled. Preparing and distributing relevant audit reports Managing and confirming reservation details and accounts for in-house guests details ensuring all details are recorded accurately Collating paperwork for departures and coordinate with the Front Office team Responding to guest enquires and requests in a timely manner Ensuring an effective handover of issues is conveyed at the start and end of each shift To lead the crew on shift, which represent the face of the hotel to be able to offer an enticing, warm welcome to all guests entering QT Melbourne To audit the day’s trading transactions & balance before posting Accurately complete accounting & reporting requirements as per the hotel’s policies & procedures Optimize profitability of operations and ensure all cashiering polices are followed To lead by example and ensure your team are impeccably groomed at all times To assist in the implementation of best practice and procedural operations To coach and encourage the team performing, in order to achieve success To assist in the development and implementation of training for the team and encourage a positive team culture & rapport across all staff of the hotel To communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and assist as required To ensure all work health & safety obligations are met To predict, plan and resolve any mishaps our guests to ensure an unique 5 star experience Be aware of VIP guests and their preferences to ensure preparations are made Process efficient transactions for our guests, providing required financial documentation You are accountable for the hotel financial cashiering and to ensure correct banking procedures are followed To audit day’s paperwork and amend accidental transactions Perform regular security and safety walk through the hotel to foresee any risks to staff or guests and prevent potential hazards to ensure safety Being knowledgeable regarding current room rates and forecasts; yield management strategies, promotions, packages, and sales to educate your team and execute proficiently To anticipate and exceed our guest’s desires at all times, igniting a sense of surprise and delight combined with inquisitive theatrical customer interaction AUTHORITIES All expenditure must be pre-approved by Rooms Division Manager.
